Our Growth

From its humble beginnings in Chandigarh, HIM Overseas has grown into a globally recognized manufacturer and exporter of scaffolding, formwork solutions, and chain link fence fittings. What began as an extension of our expertise in forging has evolved into a modern manufacturing organization supporting construction and infrastructure industries worldwide.

The foundation of the HIM Group was established in 1975 by Mr. Vijay Agarwal and Mr. Vinod Aggarwal, laying the groundwork for a strong manufacturing-driven enterprise. In 1980, the group established its first forging unit, marking the beginning of its industrial manufacturing journey.

In 1991, HIM Overseas was established as a trading organization, initiating international business operations and connecting Indian manufacturing capabilities with global markets. Soon after, the company began exporting scaffolding products to the UAE in 1992, followed by expansion into other Middle Eastern countries in 1993, marking its early entry into international construction markets.

Between 1994 and 2000, the group strengthened its manufacturing capabilities by starting the production of chain link fence fittings using pressed steel, casting, and aluminium pressure die casting processes. During this period, the company also installed its first thread rolling machine for Tie Rods, expanding its capability in manufacturing construction support components.

From 2000 onwards, HIM Overseas expanded its export footprint significantly, with supplies reaching Europe and Africa, strengthening the company’s presence in international markets.

Between 2008 and 2015, the company focused on upgrading its manufacturing infrastructure and product finishing capabilities. Investments during this phase included the installation of modern powder coating facilities and expansion of production capacity to meet increasing demand from European markets.

From 2015 to 2022, HIM Overseas expanded its scaffolding product portfolio by developing several new items tailored to European market requirements. During this period, the company also strengthened its global presence by adding new customers in the North American market.

In the most recent phase of development, between 2022 and 2025, the company has undertaken significant modernization initiatives. HIM Overseas has developed over 100 new items for different industry segments, installed a new Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG) furnace, and added new presses and Special Purpose Machines (SPM) to enhance manufacturing efficiency and production capacity. The company has also expanded its product range to include components for commercial vehicle applications.

Today, HIM Overseas proudly serves international markets across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and North America, supporting projects in infrastructure development, industrial construction, refineries, and power plants.
